Job Description

An established company are seeking to appoint a Mould Shop Manager due to fantastic growth and business expansion, they will have the exciting opportunity to set up a new mould shop within existing premises.

Role:

As Mould Shop Manager, you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a plastics moulding manufacturing environment. You must have several years’ technical moulding experience with setting, conditioning & optimisation of Injection Moulding machines, working with a wide range of materials.

As Injection Mould Shop Manager, answerable to the Group Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading & developing the moulding shifts, Setters & Operators ensuring that all injection moulding processes are running efficiently, product quality checks are adhered to and maintaining a safe working environment. You will be the processing champion for the plant and instrumental in managing the day-to-day running of the department, playing an integral role between Quality, Production, Project and Commercial departments.

Main purpose of job:

  • To lead all Mouldshop operations,
  • Ensure that H&S rules and policies are adhered to and ensure that the mould shop is a safe working environment
  • Develop production methods, techniques, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives Person Specification:
  • Ideally this person will have worked in an injection moulding facility & knowledgeable within injection moulding setting, tool changes
  • Proven supervisory skills and experience is essential as is the ability to plan and schedule work in order to meet production demand
  • Experience in Injection Moulding techniques
  • Good communication skills – Must work well in a team
  • Enthusiastic and keen to learn
  • Able to manage time well
  • Punctual and Reliable (Will check references from previous employers if possible)
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Good problem-solving skills and analytical application & approach
