Introduction
Reporting to the Head of Marketing
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day B2B and B2C marketing activities and long-term marketing strategy of the company.
Providing performance and forecast monthly reports stating all key performance metrics for online and offline channels (including revenue, cost, CPA, ROI, etc.) is a key aspect of the role.
The role would best suite an individual with strong organisational skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced highly dynamic environment. Insurance industry experience would be an advantage.
Candidates must be prepared to work extra hours when workload and priorities dictate.
Duties
The role will include, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
B2C
- To work closely with and support the Head of Marketing in the implementation of the yearly Marketing Plan and allocated projects for the current year.
- To produce the yearly B2C Marketing Plan as per agreed timescales.
- To monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing communications to the Head of Marketing.
- To be accountable for all spend and the return on each activity.
- To create and arrange publication of all financial promotions in line with the appropriate target market and relevant legislation/regulation (ICOBS, CAP code etc.).
- To ensure campaign materials are delivered on time and within agreed strategy, plan and budget.
- To effectively manage internal and external relationships.
- To supervise the marketing team including monitoring productivity.
- To assist marketing team members with day-to-day marketing tasks and coordinate marketing projects and activities as required.
- To oversee departmental administration.
- To attend trade shows and conferences.
B2B
- To be responsible for the growth of our customer base via B2B partnerships.
- To manage sales process from prospecting through to contract signing (including the negotiation of commercial terms).
- To establish new lead generation and customer acquisition opportunities, demonstrate the results from them and play an important role in shaping the company’s B2B partnership strategy.
- To be accountable for all spend and the return on each activity.
- To monitor and report on the effectiveness of B2B activities to the Head of Marketing.
- To manage existing staff and workload within the B2B area of the Marketing department.
- To be responsible for building a team of B2B Coordinators who will support the B2B area of the Marketing department with the prospection and performance assessments of B2B partners.
- To be responsible for enabling partner performance through monitoring and support.
- To manage the administration of B2B accounts.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate for the role of Marketing Manager must have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant marketing experience.
- Able to complete tasks efficiently while managing multiple competing deadlines.
- Ability to negotiate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and administration skills.
- Ability to manage your own workload and identify ways to improve.
