Job Title: Working COSS
Job Type: Must be available to work days nights and weekends.
Salary: £21 DAYS £22 NIGHTS £23 WEEKENDS
Start Date: March 2025

Coyle Rail are looking for a COSS to work with one of our well established clients in the Carlisle, Penrith and Carforth area.

The COSS must hold PTS, Track Induction, Small Tools and a COSS.

• In date PTS with COSS competency
• Sentinel Card
• Experience in safety critical work rail track renewals and maintenance
• Full UK driving licence

The COSS is responsible for:

• The safety of their group, and ensuring that all within the group follow the Network Rail Safety Guidelines outlined in the rule book and implementing
• Leading from the front in performing all duties
• Assist in the planning of tasks
• Work closely with the SSOW planner and follow the Safe System of works.
• Ensure that the health and safety of all workers are signed onto the Safe System of Work Pack (SSOW pack).
• All works completed to the highest levels, quality and issues relating to the completion of work escalated through the correct channels.
• Fully brief all members of the work group on all aspects of the SSOW pack ensuring they sign the SSOW pack following the brief.
• Follow protocol for close calls
• Responsible for the group being in full PPE when signing in at site

The work is due to start in March 2025.

The shifts are a mixture of days and nights and weekends on a rota basis

• SW preferred
• PTS
• Manual Handling
• Driving licence
• Track induction
• small tools tickets are preferred although training can be provided.
