Coyle Rail, in partnership with Intertrain, is offering a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career as a Trainee Skilled Track Operative. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our comprehensive four-to-five week training programme, which will provide you with all the essential skills and qualifications needed to succeed in the rail sector.

About the Training:

This is a fully funded training programme (no cost to the learner) delivered by industry experts at Intertrain. You will gain valuable knowledge and practical experience in the following areas:

  • Personal Track Safety (PTS): Essential for working safely on or near railway lines.
  • DCCR (3rd Rail): Understanding and working safely with Direct Current Conductor Rail systems.
  • Track Induction (TIC): Introduction to track construction, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • ICI London Underground (LU): Specific safety and operational knowledge for working on the London Underground network.
  • Basic Track Awareness (BTA): Fundamental principles of track maintenance and inspection.
  • Small Tools: Safe and effective use of essential track maintenance tools.

The skills bootcamp is aimed at adults aged 19 or over and who are either in work, self-employed, recently unemployed or returning to work after a break. Whilst the candidate will not be paid during the training programme, they are eligible to continue claiming Universal Credit for the entire duration.

Guaranteed Job Opportunity:

Upon successful completion of the four-to-five week training course, and passing a Drug and Alcohol (D&A) test, you will be guaranteed a temporary blue hat entry-level position as a Trainee Skilled Track Operative with Coyle Rail. You will be part of a dynamic team, contributing to the maintenance and safety of the UK's railway infrastructure.

  • Guaranteed job opportunity upon successful completion of training.
  • Competitive entry-level salary.
  • Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a growing industry.
  • Ongoing support and development.
  • Opportunity to work with a reputable company like Coyle Rail.
