Job Description

Job Title: Working COSS
Project duration:  ongoing weekends weekends until 30.09.24
Job Type:  weekend 11.5 hours  mid week 2 shifts 0800-1600
Salary: £21 weekends
Start Date: asap


  • In date PTS with COSS competency
  • Sentinel Card
  • Experience in safety critical work and civil undertakings
  • Full UK driving licence

The COSS is responsible for:

    • The safety of their group, and ensuring that all within the group follow the Network Rail Safety Guidelines outlined in the rule book and implementing
    • Leading from the front in performing all duties
    • Ensure that the health and safety of all workers are signed onto the Safe System of Work Pack (SSOW pack).
    • All works completed to the highest levels, quality and issues relating to the completion of work escalated through the correct channels.
    • Fully brief all members of the work group on all aspects of the SSOW pack ensuring they sign the SSOW pack following the brief.
    • Follow protocol for close calls
    • Responsible for the group being in full PPE when signing in at site.

working weekend nights until 30.09.24 and mid week 1-2 sifts from 31/07/24-30/09/24

Payment is made weekly via umbrella PAYE or PAYE
