Job Title:  Business Development Manager

Territory: UK

Location: Hybrid working

Salary:  c. 45K plus package depending on experience

 

An opportunity for an experienced Business Development professional to join a highly reputable manufacturer and supplier of Home DIY /garden equipment and outdoor products. This new position will focus on the development of new business opportunities through DIY national retailers, garden centres and e-commerce channels.

 

Who we're looking for:

• The successful applicant must have an excellent proven business development track-record
• Thorough understanding of channel management and brand management
• Experience in dealing with Far East manufacturing companies would be an advantage
• Demonstrate clear achievements with of successful development of key national accounts within the Retail / Wholesale sector
• Knowledge and understanding of DIY/trade sector in the UK.
• Passionate about success, able to demonstrate flair for recognizing new business opportunities and delivering sales growth through new creative ideas.
• Clear leadership capability to handle all internal and external challenges
• Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential as is the ability to build effective customer relationships at different management levels

 

Experience and skills:

• Industry experience in DIY/ home and garden sector
• Degree level or other relevant qualifications
• Excellent retailer sector knowledge and experience
• Proven managerial or senior leadership skills
• Strong Communicator
• Team Player
