🚨 Commercial Manager – Rail Infrastructure

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our Rail Infrastructure team. You’ll play a key role supporting major projects from start to finish — helping ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the high standards our clients expect.

💼 Role: Commercial Manager
📍 Location: Hybrid (split between office and site as needed)
📅 Type: Full-time, Permanent

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing commercial activities across multiple project work packages

• Overseeing change control, budgets, forecasting and risk management

• Acting as the main commercial contact for project and work package managers

• Providing contractual and commercial support to engineering and delivery teams

• Preparing commercial reports and forecasts

• Making sure processes, documentation and records meet company and contractual standards

• Working closely with finance, engineering, subcontractors, suppliers and clients

What we’re looking for:

• Background in commercial management or as a Quantity Surveyor on the contractor side

• Experience in rail, construction or engineering

• Degree qualified (or working towards RICS, ICES or similar professional qualification)

• Confident handling direct labour and subcontract costs, variations, and forecasts

• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills

• Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly at all levels
