ERP Programme Manager

To manage a Finance Transformation Programme to migrate a number of legacy ERP  Systems to a single ERP platform – Oracle R12.

To plan, direct, and coordinate activities to manage and implement programmes of interrelated projects from proposal initiation to final operational stage

Leading the programme/project team(s) in determining business requirements and translating requirements into plans

Determining, monitoring, reviewing and reporting on all programme attributes including costs, staffing requirements, resources, issues, risks and changes

Ensuring that programmes/projects are managed to realise business benefits and that programme management is informed by an awareness of current technical developments

Delivering change projects in accordance with programme requirements across all Business Services portfolios (Business, Strategy & IT)

To ensure that programmes and projects taken on are relevant, viable and deliver the business benefits required and that demand is balanced against current and future capability

To ensure new services and service changes are designed, transitioned and introduced into service operation in a controlled and risk assessed manner

To oversee the adherence to governance for programmes and projects, building a highly skilled and credible team

Planning

Works with the Head of PMO & Programme Director to develop and maintain the programme environment to support the delivery of each programme and project deliverables

Works with the Programme Director and colleagues within IT / Business & Suppliers to create and manage an overall plan for the programmes and projects by co-ordinating the various plans, requirements and investment decisions

Works with the Programme Director to ensure scope and objectives are clearly defined before projects are initiated

Responsible for defining the project deliverables, work breakdown structures and high-level programme plan

Leads the formation of and transition plan for project change with the business functions and stakeholders, agreeing all communications within the programme governance

Financial Responsibilities

Define and manage the budget for the programme including providing accurate and punctual reporting and forecasting, as required

Identify and manage financial impact of potential risks and opportunities

Forecast monthly spend and track actual spend across the programme

Operational Responsibilities

Ensures effective resource management is undertaken so that projects and programmes are resourced with the required expertise (internal or external) and delivery is a joined up process with the Business so that effective business change management is undertaken (training, communications, process/org design)

Establishes and manages programmes and projects ensuring they are delivered on time to agreed Customer commitments, to budget and with the professional quality expected and add value / deliver benefits to the Business

Ensures effective programme controls are established, appropriate to the scale / complexity of the Programme

Reviews the progress of the programme and projects and effectively manages the change of requirements, dependencies, milestones, risks, issues, priorities, costs and contingencies

Ensures dynamics of people, technology and process are properly managed within the context of the Programme

Develops and manages relationships with stakeholders to support the development of projects and to gain buy-in, resources and funding to enable successful delivery during project life-cycles

Ensures compliance with statutory and company policies and procedures, including adherence to Operating Model, Governance Model and Quality Assurance including reporting, risk management, stage gates, etc.

Contributes to post implementation reviews to incorporate learning’s into future programmes

Feeds into the ongoing improvement of the Operating and Governance Model

Demand / Resource Management

Implements cross functional demand and scheduling process

Manages the scheduling process & ensures appropriate tools in place for this

Maintains the up to date central view of all resource availability across the programme and projects and forecasted demand

Customers

Coordinates programme interactions with the business and assists the Programme Director in:

Effectively managing business expectations and inspiring confidence in delivery

Team set up and maintains strong relationships with the business

Ensures team maintains a strong customer service orientated mindset to all its activities and inspires confidence through high quality delivery

Business Development

Develop Project Managers to look at strategic outcomes not just delivery, share programme management knowledge / experience.

Line manged by Head of PMO, follow PMO governance.

Report to Programme Steering Board (Programme Director, Applications Director, Finance Directors)

Functional / Business / Operating Company Directors, Service Managers and Employees to inform service strategy, and to report current service performance

IT leadership team to develop and lead IT ERP strategy

Supports the Business Engagement Managers to ensure smooth transition from project to end state delivery

                Planning

Approval of overall plan programmes plan and individual project plans agreed with Programme Director / I T &Finance Directors

Demonstrates clear understanding of own targets and responsibilities and allocates specific targets and responsibilities to members of the team

                Financial Responsibilities

Budget management and regular reviews

Financial information/reports are accurate and provided in a timely fashion

                Operational Responsibilities

All migrations appropriately, tested and transitioned into service operation

All change, release, transition activity completed without disruption to the business

Up to date and clear documentation in place for all projects and adhere to PMO governance

Up to date functional risk log in place together with appropriate control measures

Programme of projects achieve the targeted business benefit, whilst being delivered to time, quality and budget expectations

                Business Development

Proven experience in programme, project and transition management

MSP APMPQ or similar Programme Management Qualification

Experience of managing complex ERP Data Migration programmes preferably Oracle R12

Proven experience in running successful programmes and projects including service transition, managing change within multi-disciplinary businesses, and operating in large-scale complex organisations with diverse stakeholder communities

Experience of working in fast-paced business delivery environment

Ability to assimilate information quickly and accurately, be well organised and cope well with managing a dynamic workload with changing priorities

Strong customer awareness and a proven track record of ensuring the business is always at the forefront of decision making

Proven ability to drive outstanding performance and gain commitment through developing, coaching, motivating, energising and inspiring team members

Strong ability to communicate technical concepts and opportunities to a business audience

Excellent skills in effective stakeholder relationship management and strong influencing skills

Passion for developing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels across the business
