Job Purpose:

To identify, design and develop services to meet the current and future needs of the adult residents of the borough and to ensure advice and information is accessible.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To identify and develop current and future services needed to ensure a vibrant market place able to meet the Council’s aspirations its residents based on though research, intelligence and best practice, including service user/carer, partners, independent and Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise sector etc engagement and analysis of demographics
  • To produce the business case for service development or redesign of existing services, liaising with commissioning colleagues, where appropriate, ensuring benefits are realised and appropriate risk assessment is undertaken to future proof services.
  • To work with care management in understanding service user requirements.
  • To manage engagement consultation processes.
  • To support the Strategic Commissioning Manager (Market Development and Performance) in the preparation of the Market Position Statement and review of fees.
  • To work with the Commissioning team in the procurement process, as required.
  • To lead the development and implementation of projects, as allocated.
  • To engage with providers to ensure quality standards are achieved and maintained.
  • To provide management information and produce reports.
  •  
  • To attend local and regional meetings, as appropriate.
  • To work in partnership with Health, as required.
