I am recruiting for self-motivated sales executives to join a hardworking and fun team, for one of my clients based north of York.

The role will involve making outbound calls to customers known within the industry. Fact finding and providing quotations to customers, with prices and delivery dates along with any other information they require. The customer accepts the quote and places an order with us. We place an order for these goods with our supplier. They ship to us. We check the parts and ship them out to the customer.

Initially this job is about generating new business from new customers by phoning companies who are known within the industry – we provide full training on how to approach customers.
All enquiries for parts received from these new customers will be handled exclusively by the Account Manager. They will be responsible for sourcing goods and quoting the customer. When orders are received from customers, the jobholder will purchase the stock. They will also chase suppliers to ensure that delivery dates are met.

Once new customers have placed orders, you will have sole responsibility for managing these accounts and will earn commission from all sales made to these customers.

My client prides itself on providing excellent Customer Service, and our Account Managers develop good working relationships with their new customers, as we believe this is vital to winning orders.

Accompanied by the Sales Manager, Account Managers can expect to visit their Top Customers once a year, and other customers who we think are growing or have big potential, as the need arises.
Once an Account Manager’s new customers have begun to place enquiries and orders with us, the Account Manager will begin to be targeted on generating and improving the sales revenue from these customers.

The role is initially 90% New Business, later becoming 20% new business 80% Account Management.

£18,000 Basic, plus commission (£25,000 OTE year 1-2)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Previous telephone sales experience is essential.
Proven track record in business to business sales.
Be organised and methodical in your approach to work.
Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must be used to working to and exceeding targets.
Have an ambitious attitude to work and a work ethic that generates results.
Have experience of negotiating and closing up to director level.
Foreign languages would be an advantage.
Be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft word, Excel and other packages.
