PURPOSE:
• To drive forward transformation within the organisation, streamline processes, introduce new ways of working, deliver the efficiency strategy and bid for opportunities to expand and grow the company.
• To be responsible and accountable for continuous improvement and efficiencies across the Children’s Social Care service, whilst contributing new business initiatives and projects to aid and improve operational performance.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide project management, analytical and research skills and expertise
• Develop, deliver and support delivery of business improvement change initiatives in line with best practice
• Report on progress of projects, understanding the risks, budgets, resources, issues and actions necessary to ensure success, to produce written reports and make presentations
• Lead, define and develop continuous improvement activities designed to improve performance
• Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and review and assess on-going performance, reporting on achievement of targets and identifying any actions required
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
• Work with the management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery
• Ability to present data in a range of formats, manipulating and interpreting information when required
• Compare performance with other similar organisations in relation to performance indicators and benchmarking data
• To produce successful tender and bid proposals – as well as other fundraising applications when required, based on good research and excellent communication will colleagues


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
 
EXPERIENCE OF:
• Analysing, interpreting and manipulating data
• Using lean methodologies
• Implementing efficiency strategies
• Have an understanding of local and national social care priorities
• Have an understanding of social care workforce pressures
• Submitting tender proposals

ABILITY TO:
• The ability to share information, obtain information and have dialogue with others, either in writing, in person or over the telephone.
• Be able to work effectively within a busy team environment, be helpful and co-operative with others ;
• Manage priorities and work demands displaying initiative and creativity;
• Effectively use a PC to write reports/assessments, record information or input data;
• Be confident on challenging other professionals appropriately;
• Self-motivated, resilient and committed to excellent social work practice;
• Meet the travel requirements of the post;
• Be a confident, creative thinker, embracing personal challenge
• Work outside of normal working hours to meet the needs of the service.
