MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

  • To support senior officers on specific aspects of the SEND reforms  particularly in relation to Special Educational Needs and Inclusion (SEN) Strategy Action plan
  • Be responsible for co-ordinating consultation and communication plans and related activities across Children’s Services for projects related to SEN and inclusion and other projects covering internal and external stakeholder interests.
  • Provide business support to the SEN and Inclusion Executive Board and sub-groups including the organisation of meetings, minute taking and following up on actions required to support the successful delivery of projects.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Be responsible for co-ordinating and implementing consultation and communication plans for specific projects on implementing the SEND reforms
  •  Undertake research and information gathering required for the projects assigned to the post.
  •  To coordinate  information related to projects supplied for Ealing’s internet and intranet and EGfL and Local Offer portal sites and to ensure all project related content on the sites is kept up-to-date and accurate on an ongoing basis.
  •  To be the first point of contact point for queries relating to SEND and Inclusion projects through written, face-to-face and phone communication.
  •  Prepare letters and prepare  reports for internal  audiences including presenting statistical data and drafting consultation reports.
  •  Be responsible for maintaining and ensuring control of project documentation and supporting information, which may be stored both electronically and manually, and that information is accurate, up-to-date and easily accessible to authorised users.
  •   Support the LA at meetings with stakeholders including young people, parents/carers, edcuation settings, health and care servcies and the voluntary sector. 
  •  To organise the agenda, clerk and progress action points for meetings.
  •   To carry out his/her duties and responsibilities with due regard to the Council’s Equal Opportunities and Customer Care Policies and other guiding principles.
  •  To carry out other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature or at a similar level of responsibility that may be allocated from time to time.
