We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our team based in our client offices in Bradford.  As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for :

  • Planning and implementing projects with an electrical bias
  • Define tasks and required resources
  • Allocate resources
  • Manage  project budget and cashflow.
  • Create schedule and project timeline
  • Track deliverables
  • Support and direct team
  • Management of change
  • Management of risks and issues
  • Lead quality assurance
  • Monitor and report on project progress
  • Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
  • Scope Of Works Documentation
  • Management of client sub contractors
  • Awareness of CDM (2015) Regulations

Core duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that projects run to time, quality and budget
  • Management of project financials in the internal database system ensuring forecasting and cashflow is up to date
  • Ensure that client sub contractors adhere to client standards and reporting issues to the client that may impact on time, cost, quality and health & safety
  • Planning  of site surveys with client operational teams ensuring Field Teams' have appropriate equipment and documentation
  • Planning installation works with Field Teams, client operational teams and sub contractors
  • Ensuring that health & safety support is organised and audit activities are taking place where necessary
  • Track and manage sub contractor invoices and any variations on behalf of the client
  • Report to appropriate team leader on risks and issues associated with project work
  • To be able to work in close collaboration with team members and other disciplines and have an appreciation of their role
  • Undertaking other tasks as delegated by Project Engineers/Managers
  • To adhere to the company Health and Safety Policy

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Ability to plan and organise teams working on several streams of work
  • Electrical knowledge
  • Ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and to produce reports

Professional Membership and Qualifications:

  • HND or HNC in Civil Engineering (desirable)
  • APMP Qualification
  • IET membership of an appropriate professional body (desirable)

  • Ability to work on own initiative and seek assistance when required
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met
  • Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions
  • Take responsibility for your personal development and enable and support the learning of others
  • Effective negotiation and persuasion skills, ability to manage and diffuse challenging situations
  • Project a professional image to clients and colleagues
  • Able to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors.
